In 1996, Troop 10 started
placing the names of the Everett Stonecipher Scout of the Year Award
winners on a plaque. This plaque hangs in the narthex at Morton Memorial
United Methodist Church. It is in memory of Everett Stoncipher, one of
Troop 10's original charter members. The recipients are chosen by a vote
of the members of the Troop. This is a very special honor in the Troop.
The recipients have to show great leadership abilities, and be well liked
